Radio Promotion

Radio Promotion and the Holidays !

Holidays are used to pre-promote for a JAnuary Launch !

Email to client:

You are working your ass off ! that cannot be disputed. What made me think of sending this email was the disappointment I felt when I thought of all your driving work to stations giving them sleeves that get lost in a stack as soon as they are set down.

beyond all the below crap YOU ARE LIVING THE DREAM ! so enjoy, all my clients DREAM of actually doing what YOU are doing TODAY !

booking is your main problem. Visiting clubs, auditioning a solo song & making booking connections is where your future will grow.
-busking on College Campuses ?

Booking Comedy Clubs is not the best venues BUT USE the booker’s name & club when talking to other bookers. “ Bill @ Voodoo will tell you how hard I work the audience & how much I promote the show ! Can you give me a 20 min. opener & I’ll prove myself for no charge to you ? ”

# 1 reminder) as soon as a show is confirmed let me know, shows are the most important thing to radio ( ps I vm’d sales guy at that concert time about approaching Sinclair but surprise, no answer, DAMN, home town sells 200 tickets & $ 750 in ads & they won’t play you more ! ) their answer would be “ when single shows acceptance at any other Commercial Station we’ll look again at Brandon ”

College Radio Add List coming next email, but not a big bragger cuz only ONE spin week if of interest to DJs ( show in town ? )
REMINDER: if you have a show in a city, COLLEGE RADIO will try to support even if they do not have CD at station, call, no answer, look up sched on google & knock on stations door during AAA & Indie Rock Shows )

? are you keeping any short travel blog for friends; visited this club, booked this date, etc ? maybe a travel diary that you can sell years from now or turn into a reality show next year

no answer from KTCL phone I assume; market size means big money

beyond all this crap YOU ARE LIVING THE DREAM ! so enjoy, all my clients DREAM of actually doing what YOU are doing TODAY !
Best,
Jon
